Aloha Kakahiaka Kakou,

After much thought, prayers and tears, we, I have decided to end our event known as The San Diego Ho’olaule’a.
After a Great 9 years of bringing our version of a Uhane O Aloha Festivals to San Diego we are pau.

Much has happened since 2019 that have changed my focus to my family and life.

Not that the festival and all who came to enjoy for what ever reason don’t matter, but I think after 30 maybe 40 years of involvement in other events and boards its time for me to walk away to concentrate on me and my ohana and prepare for retirement.

We as team San Diego Ho’olaule’a, would love to thank you all, who have ever you are that came to enjoy the entertainment, food, crafts, cultural village, reuniting with family or even making new friends or just came to share the Uhane O Aloha (Spirit of Aloha) with us, we thank you all.

This letter has been written many times and deleted, I thought I would put this out to all now, with the hope someone out there would think about continuing it on as their own or an organization event.

I have all notes stage carpets, contacts and other items to get them started.
So it’s out there, if your interested pm me.

Marla and myself could not have done this without the help of many friends and family that for 9 years that have taken time out their lives to help make the Ho’olaule’a happen.

Too many to name to mention without missing one so this is for all our team.

Mahalo nui loa from the bottom of our hearts we could not have succeeded without your sacrifice and Aloha.

We love you all,
Jordan & Marla Martin
