2024 Native Hawaiian Convention

This year’s Native Hawaiian Convention will be held September 17-19, 2024, at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. The three-day event will feature discussions and workshops on cultural perpetuation, housing, fashion, tourism, education, and self-determination.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO ATTEND?

Cost will be $225 per person | $125 for CHNA Members. This does not include the cost of accommodations – a link to book the special rate at Hilton Waikoloa Village will be sent in purchased ticket confirmation email.

WHAT’S ON THE AGENDA?

Thursday, September 19, 2024 | DAY 1 OPENING

  • 7:00 AM: Registration Opens
  • 9:00 AM – 12:15 PM: Breakout Sessions, including discussions on workforce and economic development, housing, and recent legislative policy
  • 12:15 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch Break
  • 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM: General Session, featuring an opening ceremony, special guest speakers, and storied Native Hawaiian leaders

Friday, September 20, 2024 | DAY 2 CULTURE WORKSHOPS

  • 7:00 AM: Registration Opens
  • 9:00 AM – 12:45 PM: Breakout Sessions, including workshops on traditional agriculture, lei making, and navigation
  • 12:15 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch Break
  • 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM: Breakout Sessions, including workshops on mo‘olelo, oli, hula, mele, and ??lelo Hawai‘i
  • 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Membership Meeting
  • 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Fashion Show

Saturday, September 21, 2024 | DAY 3 CLOSING

  • 7:00 AM: Registration Opens
  • 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM: General Session, featuring hot topic conversations, keynote presentations, and a closing ceremony
  • 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM: Lunch Break
  • 11:45 PM – 5:00 PM: Breakout Sessions, including discussions on tourism, data and technology, and preparing for the future
