California 808 by Sandwich Islands Network Radio

California 808 by SIN RadioSandwich Islands Network Radio produced a CD featuring original music by artists living in Southern California with 808 roots.

With over a half million “tropical transplants” from Hawai’i living on the West Coast, polynesian culture, language, music and dance has been a bridge or highway from our adopted mainland home back to the 808.

“This CD project came into being because we wanted to share the music of a generation of Hawaiians and Hawaiians at heart now living in Southern California playing contemporary island music. Our musical California 808 highway!”

One of the mission statement goals of Sandwich Islands Network radio is to promote local artists and musicians in our Pacific Island community in Southern California. California 808 features contemporary island music of many genres, a wonderful free spirit plunge into the ocean of jazz, pop, swing, reggae and contemporary island music.
